“Aleppo” CCO’s Participation in the Rapid assessment of the Situation of Refugee and Relocated Children

The Meeting focused on rapid assessment of the situation of Armenia relocated refugee children took place on March 18, 2016. The assessment was carried out by the Armenian office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in cooperation with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia.

The purpose of the assessment was to review and initiate a rapid evaluation of the situation of refugees and asylum seekers in Armenia. It should be noted that during the assessment interviews were held with local and international NGO representatives, as well as with stakeholders. Among the local institutions was “Aleppo” Organization.

At the meeting, the assessment methodology, the problems identified, solutions proposed to the problems faced by relocated children were discussed. During the meeting the representatives of the participating organizations had the opportunity to work in groups to discuss and make recommendations for improving the situation of the asylum seekers, refugees and relocated children.
