Aleppo CCO participated in a workshop on a cash-based humanitarian aid

On 06 May, 2016, the UNHCR Armenian Office held a workshop on a cash-based support. In particular, the workshop focused on the purpose, scope, justification and implementation phases of Cash-Based Interventions in the context of the work with refugees.

A number of interested international and national humanitarian organizations participated in the workshop. Its founding president Ani Balkhian, and Program Coordinator Hayasa Tahmazyan participated on behalf of Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization.

During the workshop the representatives of the participating institutions, held group discussions on emergency cash assistance and rental subsidy as a humanitarian aid, as well as main challenges of refugees who were victims of sexual and gender-based violence.

This workshop served as a platform for the development and strengthening of cash transactions mechanisms, as well as for experience exchange and networking.
