Aleppo CCO: Syrian children celebrated the feast of Vardavar in Armenia
On July 1, 2016, Syrian children and youth participants of the summer school organized by the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization celebrated the feast of Vardavar in Armenia.
An introductory class about the feast of Transfiguration of Jesus Christ commonly known as Vardavar took place at Aleppo CCO’s center in Yerevan, after which the Syrian children and youth together with their parents and teachers at the summer school visited the English Park where everyone participated in various entertaining educational and cultural games.
The teachers of the Aleppo CCO’s children and youth summer school did their best to make Vardavar a bright and colorful feast for the children. Joyfully screaming, the Syrian children poured water on each other and celebrated Vardavar with festive spirit, songs and dances.
In addition, we would like to remind that since June 20, 2016, Aleppo CCO is organizing free educational and cultural summer school for Syrian children and youth who now live in Armenia. The organization aims at creating favorable conditions to develop children’s interests and promote healthy lifestyle, as well as spiritual, cultural and patriotic education among them.
