On October 11 and 13, 2016, free trainings on the topic of the “Financial system of Armenia” were organized at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization for Syrian families.

The trainings are organized by the German Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation within the framework of the “Economic integration of the Syrians in Armenia” program funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

The trainings play an important informative role for Syrian families who found shelter in Armenia, because there are several differences between financial systems in Armenia and Syria.

The participants of the training learned how to manage personal funds productively, how to avoid scams, how to avoid additional debts, how to defend their financial rights, as well as how to benefit from financial services.

During the discussion that followed the class, the participants also learned more about how to securely use bank accounts and debit cards.
