Aleppo CCO: Syrian children and youth celebrated the Feast of Barekendan

On February 25, 2017, Syrian children – participants of the Center for Syrian children and youth celebrated the Feast of Barekendan (Eve of Great Lent) at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO. During the celebration, the Syrian children played the long-awaited colorful staging of Hovhannes Tumanyan’s fairy tale “Barekendan”.

Children also performed new dances for the guests present. Various games took place during the event, and a delicious treat for prepared for everyone.

Initiated by Aleppo CCO, the Center for Syrian children and youth aims at providing Syrian children with knowledge and skills vital for the development of personality.

To remind, the meetings at Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO’s Center for Syrian children and youth take place on every Saturday from 15:00 until 17:30 for participants aged between 4 to 9 and 10 to 16 years old.

The meetings take place at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO.
