Aleppo CCO: Syrian and local youth discuss Active Citizenship
On February 26, 2017, the second meeting of the SKYE Youth Club formed by Syrian and local youth took place at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO.
The SKYE Youth Club was created within the framework of the “Skills and Knowledge for Youth Economic-empowerment” project, initiated by World Vision Armenia and financed by the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the U.S. Department of State.
Launched by the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO in cooperation with World Vision Armenia, the project brings together Syrian and local youth in Armenia.
This time, the SKYE Youth Club hosted a meeting with political scientist Saghatel Basil, who introduced the “Active Citizenship” topic to the youth, providing them with important information on the topic during the non-formal training. The participants of the meeting once again highlighted the actuality of the active citizenship in citizenship and sustainable development.
Showing a great interest in the topic, the members of the SKYE Youth Club actively participated in the discussions, expressing their own positions, and in the end, came to a consensus and resolution of the issues.
Aleppo CCO expresses its deepest gratitude to Saghatel Basil for conducting such an interesting, interactive and useful training.
