Aleppo CCO organized a charitable event dedicated to Mijink – the Median Day of Great Lent

On March 24, 2017, the Women’s Council of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO initiated and organized a charitable event dedicated to Mijink – the Median Day of Great Lent.

Tania Ter-Baboghlian, a member of Aleppo CCO’s Women’s Council, welcomed the guests on behalf of the organization and introduced the customs and the symbolism of Mijink.

Members of the Women’s Council of the Aleppo CCO spared no effort in preparing traditional dishes for Mijink and organizing various interesting raffles, making it a memorable day for all the guests.

During the event, everyone enjoyed the live performance of a renowned Syrian singer. Gifts and presents was prepared for the guests of the event, too.

Aleppo CCO expresses its deepest gratitude to the members of the organization’s Women’s Council for organizing the charitable event dedicated to Mijink with such a sincere dedication.

To remind, Mijink, or the Median Day of Great Lent, marks the half of the 48-day lent, symbolizing that the first half of the Great Lent has passed.
