Charitable Luncheon for the Benefit of Aleppo-NGO’s “Arevik-Armenia” Center

On April 15, 2017, a charitable luncheon was organized by the Board of Trustees and the Women’s Committee of the “Arevik-Armenia” Center, established by the Aleppo-NGO in 2014, for Syrian individuals with mental and physical disabilities. The luncheon was held on the Saturday of Holy Week.

In her opening remarks, the secretary of the Board of Trustees of Aleppo-NGO’s “Arevik-Armenia” center Perchuhi Avetyan presented the symbolism of the day and the history of the Easter egg game.

The chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Aleppo-NGO’s “Arevik-Armenia” center Lusin Sheohmelian welcomed the guests of the charitable luncheon and expressed her gratitude to all those who devote themselves to the pupils of the center, contributing their efforts and professional and human qualities.

Stressing the important role of the “Arevik-Armenia” center of the Aleppo-NGO in the lives of the Syrian individuals with disabilities settled in Armenia, the guests of the charitable luncheon made donations to secure the continuation of “Arevik-Armenia” center’s activities which provide vital assistance to Syrians with special needs.

Traditional dishes symbolizing the spirit of Holy Saturday were served during the luncheon, which was accompanied by live performances. All the proceeds from the luncheon are directed towards the continuation of the activities of “Arevik-Armenia” Center.
