Aleppo NGO: Meetings of the Center for Syrian children and youth continue

On May 27, 2017, the next meeting of the Center for Syrian children and youth took place at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO.

This time, the meeting was dedicated to the topic of military service and army. The children began their gathering with a military line up and special movements. They first played their favorite finger game, and then they learned to defend themselves from the snipers crawling under chairs and tables, rejoicing in their unity and friendship.

But the most inspiring moment of the day was the reading of Hovik Vardumyan’s book “Avik’s Ayb and Ben”. Children read poems corresponding to the first letters of their names.

At the end of the meeting, children also had a zoology class, during which they learned about roosters. The gathering was closed with a prayer and dinner.

Initiated by Aleppo NGO, the Center for Syrian children and youth aims at providing Syrian children with knowledge and skills vital for the development of personality.
