Aleppo-NGO’s “Host a Family” Project in Spitak

Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization-NGO’s (Aleppo-NGO) “Host a Family” project provides emergency shelter to Syrians in Armenia as well as vital resources to hasten their integration and settlement in Armenia.

The project is implemented in the cities of Yerevan and Spitak.

Cooperating with Global Hope Network International and the Melkonyan family, Aleppo-NGO secured housing for vulnerable Syrian families in the city of Spitak, located in the Armenian province of Lori.

Currently, there are 3 Syrian families who are beneficiaries of the “Host a Family” project in Spitak. The families that have settled in Spitak are provided with land which they use for cultivation and farming, as well as animals to breed. The produce from these resources, provided by Global Hope Network International, is the primary source of livelihood for these families who either use the produce or sell it to generate income.

The Syrian families living in Spitak live in this shelter home rent-free, and utility costs are provided for by Global Hope Network International.
