Youth from 14 Countries Get Acquainted with Activities of Aleppo-NGO

On October 18, 2017, the participants of the “Intercultural Education and Youth Work for More Inclusive Europe” study visit, organized by Armenian Progressive Youth NGO, were hosted at Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization-NGO (Aleppo-NGO).

More than 36 youth from Armenia, Lithuania, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Macedonia, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Sweden participated in a study visit to explore the activities of organizations that cover the issues faced by refugees in Armenia.

The chairperson of Aleppo-NGO’s Youth Council, Karen Balkhian, welcomed the participants of the study visit at the organization’s office. Karen Balkhian provided guests with comprehensive information on Aleppo-NGO’s activities and answered the questions raised by the participants of the youth program.

Aleppo-NGO is one of the primary organizations that supports Syrian families who relocated to Armenia because of the war in Syria. Throughout its activities, Aleppo-NGO encourages the implementation of youth programs which aim to equip the younger generation with the knowledge and skills required to confront the current refugee crisis in the world.
