Syrian-Armenian Children Gather for Holiday Celebration

On December 24, 2017, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO) held a holiday celebration for the Syrian-Armenian children participating in its youth groups.

Thanks to the hardworking youth group teachers, the participants spent all of the past year learning a wide array of songs and poems. They performed selections from these pieces at the holiday celebration.

The children also participated in a number of exciting games and enjoyed a festive meal provided by Aleppo-NGO.

The most eagerly awaited surprise of the evening was a visit from Santa Claus, who distributed various gifts to the children on behalf of.Aleppo-NGO.

Aleppo-NGO holds regularly-scheduled activities for displaced Syrian-Armenian children and youth, with the intent of building knowledge and skills for personal development. The activities also offer a welcoming, supportive environment in which participants can interact with their peers.

Aleppo-NGO’s children’s and youth groups meet every Saturday from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, at the NGO’s main office (11 Northern Avenue, Yerevan). Separate programs are held for 4 to 9-year-olds and 10 to 16-year-olds. For more information, please call 010 54 53 69 or 098 54 53 61.
