Socio-Psychological Assistance Meetings Resume at Aleppo-NGO

On March 3, 2018, Socio-Psychological Assistance meetings resumed at of Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization-NGO (Aleppo-NGO).

The meeting started with a group prayer. The guest speaker – Father Pargev Palgevorgyan, the pastor of St. Hakob Church in Mrgavan commenced with the lecture on 7 cardinal sins, also known as 7 deadly sins, within Christian teachings.

This time he spoke about the third deadly sin – Wrath. Wrath or anger is something that completely takes over a person who might lose control over his words and actions. Therefore, it is of paramount importance to control anger, and in case an issue arises, we must resolve it as soon as possible. Instead of using anger in a negative way we should learn to channel it into something positive. For example, if our children commit a crime and they confess to us, we should provide them with advice and do our best to lead them to the right path.

The free, socio-psychological assistance meetings at Aleppo-NGO provide support to Syrians who went through the war and find themselves experiencing psychological side effects, helping them to recover and become actively involved in the civil life of Armenia.

The meetings take place every Friday at the Aleppo-NGO office. The address is 11 Northern Avenue, -1 floor.
