On 19 October 2018, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo NGO) organized a regular meeting to provide social-psychological support to Syrian Refugees in Armenia.

The guest speaker of the meeting was already a familiar spiritual pastor, Fr. Pargev Priest Palgevorgyan of Saint Hakob Church from Araratian Pontifical Diocese in Mrgavan village, and he launched the meeting with a prayer.

Fr. Pargev continued to speak about greed, which is the 5th of 7 deadly sins of Armenian Apostolic Church. Fr. Pargev quoted from the Bible, noting that greed is considered a sin, because the Bible says, “Don’t look at someone else’s possessions”.

There is no person who has no ability to … everyone can benefit others if they are not lazy.

Priest Palgevorgyan urges us to be temperate in all matters, because greed removes people from God. He advised those present to dedicate themselves to prayer, to put God first, to be satisfied with their possessions, and to enjoy it, and God will broaden the person’s possession by seeing his heart.

In the end, the participants came up with questions and suggestions, presenting their exciting topics for discussion in future meetings.
