Discussing Health Issues within the “Socio-psychological Support for Syrian-Armenians’’ Project
On 22 February, 2019, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO), within the “Socio-psychological Support for Syrian Refugees’’ project, hosted Dr. Mayda Chavoushian who has settled in Armenia as a result of the Syrian conflict.
Dr. Chavoushian spoke about osteochondrosis – a deformity of the spine, as well the causes and effects of its occurrence.
The attendees were informed about the symptoms of the disease in order to prevent its future development.
At the end, attendees came up with questions and received answers to their questions.
As a reminder, the free socio-psychological assistance meetings at Aleppo-NGO provide support to Syrians who went through the war and find themselves experiencing psychological side effects, helping them to recover and become actively involved in the civil life of Armenia.
The meetings take place every Friday at Aleppo-NGO office. The address is 11 Northern Avenue, -1 floor (entrance from Abovyan street).
