Autodesk Revit Training Courses for Young Syrian Architects and Designers

On February 28, 2019, within the framework of the “Better Future for Syrian-Armenian Youth” project, Aleppo-NGO, supported by Armenia Round Table Foundation, launched a three-month training in Autodesk Revit, an architectural software program needed by Young Syrian architects and interior designers to find employment in Armenia.

Twelve Syrian youth are taking part in training courses, which are designed to boost the academic performance of Syrian university students studying architecture and design as well as enhance their practical skills to increase their competitiveness in the labor market. The participants of the training program were selected following an extensive review of their academic performance, financial standing, and the level of commitment towards their profession.

“This training course gives us an opportunity to enhance our professional and practical skillsets, which will make us more competitive while pursuing employment in Armenia as architects and designers,” said Solina Karouj, one of the Autodesk Revit training participants. “These trainings will also enhance our ability to develop our CVs/Resumes and our portfolios, which are needed for applying for jobs in Armenia.”

The capacity building component, which is designed to enhance the professional skills of Syrian youth in Armenia, is an integral part of the “Better Future for Syrian-Armenian Youth” project which was launched in March 2018. The project is funded by the World Council of Churches Armenia Inter-Church Charitable Round Table Foundation (ART) and implemented by Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO).
