“Socio-Psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” meetings on the Positive and Negative Inner Power

The general meeting of the socio-psychological group took place on March 29, 2019, at 2 p.m. with an attendance of 45 participants. The meeting was led by the founding member and vice president of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization, Dzovig Makarian-Baytarian.

We had two guest speakers. One is a kindergarten teacher with 25-years of experience, who is the creator of both children and social articles in the weekly newspaper, Gandzasar. The second guest speaker is the founder and editor of “Kku Annex” of Gandzasar and Shavigh newspapers. The topic discussed was “The Effects of the Positive and Negative Inner Power on Our Lives”.

At the start of her speech, Atya Minasian, expressed her gratitude to the Aleppo-NGO for inviting and giving her the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with the attendees. She noticed that God’s divine strength was present that day, spreading positive inner power and energy. Ms. Minasian also spoke on the importance of controlling the inner world, and how prayers, mercy, and taking care of our trees and plant life can help repel negativities that surround us.

The meeting ended with the overview of the positive aspects of music, and was followed by the cheerful attendees singing songs and dancing.

As a reminder, the “Socio-Psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” project organized by the Aleppo-NGO is free of charge. The goal of the meetings is to provide support to those who suffer from psychological stress and trauma after living through the conflicts in Syria. The program’s mission is to provide the survivors with rehabilitation and ways to help the refugees integrate into Armenian society.

Professors will be invited to these gatherings in the near future, to present lectures and share their knowledge and experience with attendees.
