Physical Training within the Framework of the “Socio-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” Project

On June 7, 2019, 55 members of the “Socio-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” project of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization held regular meeting at the office of Aleppo-NGO.

Dzovig Makarian-Baitarian, Co-Founder and Vice-President of Aleppo-NGO, made the opening speech representing the main agenda of the meeting. The first topic was the announcement and business support program of the “World Vision Armenia” Organization for Syrian-Armenians and local people. The mentioned program was represented to the presentees by Arevik Abrahamyan, the representative of the World Vision. People with refugee status and RA citizens who have business ideas or business registered for not more than 3 years may apply to this program. 

People included in the program will participate in the trainings on Business development and  Business plan marketing. The best Business plan will receive financial support up to 3500 dollars for the implementation of their business.

The program was represented in details and those who wanted received application forms.

Sosi Semerchian-Khshautchian was invited as a guest for “Let’s be healthy” training. She briefly represented her biography, after spoke about the importance and necessity of physical exercises and healthy food. Ms. Sosi highlighted the benefits of sport in our lives and advised the presentees to exercise in all ages, according to the needs and discretion and under the supervision of the specialist.

Besides giving practical advices to the attendees, the lecturer distributed gift-cards for one visit to Alex Fitness Women’s Fitness club for which the women express their sincere gratitude.

As a reminder, Aleppo-NGO’s  “Social-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” program is organized free of charge. The aim of the meetings is to provide support to those who lived through the conflict in Syria and continue to struggle with psychological side effects. The program’s mission is to assist in survivors’ rehabilitation and help them reintegrate into Armenian civil life.
