Christmas Celebrations within “Socio-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” Project

On December 13, 2019, the last meeting of “Socio-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” project was held at the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO) with the participation of 78 women. Dzovig Makarian-Baitarian, Co-founding Vice President of Aleppo-NGO, congratulated everyone with the holidays and expressed hope that the meetings held within the framework of the project next year will also be useful and interesting and will facilitate the easy integration, awareness and contacts of Syrian-Armenian women in Armenia.

Afterwards, Vania Mesriyeh, member of the Coordinating body of the Project, presented the symbols and significance of coming year and congratulated everyone. Mayda Chavushian, the other member of the Coordinating body, congratulated the attendees wishing happiness and success in the coming year.

Members of the Project surprised Vania Mesriyeh on her birthday, which created a more festive atmosphere in the hall.

The members of the Project received gifts symbolizing the upcoming year Santa Claus chose the winner by chance, who received a Christmas gift.  

The event was accompanied dance and music. The treat was organized by “Arthur Asatryan” foundation for which the attendees expressed their gratitude.

As a reminder, the free socio-psychological assistance meetings at Aleppo-NGO provide support to Syrians who went through the war and find themselves experiencing psychological side effects, helping them to recover and become actively involved in the civil life of Armenia.

The meetings take place every Friday at 16.00, at Aleppo-NGO office. The address is 11 Northern Avenue, -1 floor (entrance from Abovyan street).
