Aleppo-NGO and WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation. Future Doctor- Sevak Papoyan

Please meet Sevak Papoyan, participant of the professional internship program of the “Bright Future for Youth” project, implemented by Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization by the fund of the WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation.

My name is Sevak Papoyan. I was born in Artik, Shirak region later moved to Yerevan with my family. In 2015 I applied to the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi.  A year later I left for the service in the Defense Army of the RA.  After service, I continued my studies at the Faculty of Stomatology of the  Medical University. Along with my studies, I participate in several international conferences, such as the Nobel Prize Winners in Armenia, the Scientific Conference on “ Recognition of Brain”, the 1st Conference on Maxillofacial Surgeons, etc.

The activity of a doctor is always relevant, which is more like a mission than just a required profession. It is the dream and aspiration that accompany me, which has been with me since I was a child. Medicine, like art, is one of the spheres of life that they choose  their descendants  and apostles. It would be a great honor for me to be among those great people. I hope that as a future doctor I will have my contribution to the development of Medicine.

As a 4th year student, I am doing a professional internship at the University Dental Clinic, due to which I have also got a job offer. I would like to thank to Aleppo-NGO and WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation  for the project of “Bright Future for Youth”, which provides students with the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and skills in the field.

During the internship, I participate in therapeutic, surgical, orthopedic interventions, as well as patients’ dentures, prosthetics and surgical procedures. Thanks to my internship and the knowledge I gained at university, I can easily perceive and master everything that is needed for professional work.

The internship gives me the opportunity to understand the nuances of clinical medicine. I believe that the knowledge and skills I have gained during this internship, I will apply in my professional field in the future.

The paid internship component of the “Bright Future for Youth” project enables talented youth to be involved in the activities of the most prestigious public and private sector institutions of the Republic of Armenia, paving a way for a successful career. Through the paid internship component, students and recent graduates improve their skills by working in various environments and gaining professional experience while working side-by-side with experienced professionals.

The “Bright Future for Youth” project was launched on 1 February 2020.
