On October 21, 2019 within the framework of the “Better Future for Syrian Armenian Youth” project, funded by the WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation and implemented by Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO), a 3-month accounting training course was launched.
Accountancy courses are designed to introduce accountants, business majors and students the taxation laws of the Republic of Armenia, as well as train them to use the “Armenian Software” program, commonly used by professional accountants and business owners. Accounting courses cover a variety of topics that will provide participants with an understanding of accounting procedures, techniques and concepts and unable to use them in their activities.
“I would like to express my deep gratitude to Aleppo-NGO and WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation for availing me this opportunity. It’s really difficult for me to find a job in Armenia, but after mastering accounting courses, I believe, I will find an appropriate job”,-notes accounting training’s participant Arpi Der-Poghosian.
Training courses are held at the “Educational Center” training center with the participation of seven Syrian-Armenian youth. Students will be assessed through practical tests and skills based assignments.
The “Better Future for Syrian-Armenian Youth” project is funded by the World Council of Churches Armenia Inter-Church Charitable Round Table Foundation (ART) and implemented by Aleppo-NGO. The capacity building component of the project is aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of Syrian-Armenian youth in Armenia, to make them more competitive in Armenia’s labor market and enable them to reach their career goals.
