Father Pargev Palgevorgyan Leads Social-Psychological Assistance Meeting

On December 8, 2017, the most recent weekly meeting to provide Syrians settled in Armenia with social-psychological assistance was organized at Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization-NGO (Aleppo-NGO).

Father Pargev Palgevorgyan, the pastor of St. Hakob Church in Mrgavan, returned to lead the meeting, continuing his series on the seven sacraments of the Armenian church. This week, Father Pargev focused on the sacrament of repentance in which a person realizes his or her sins, repents, confesses, and receives forgiveness.

The free, social-psychological assistance meetings at Aleppo-NGO provide support to Syrians who went through the war and find themselves experiencing psychological side effects, helping them to recover and become actively involved in the civil life of Armenia.

The meetings take place on a regular basis, every Friday at the Aleppo-NGO office. The address is 11 Northern Avenue, -1 floor.
