Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Armenia in March 2020, Syrian refugees have faced numerous hardships due to the undocumented nature of their employment.
Prior to COVID-19, in 2020, 49% of Syrian workers in Armenia were undocumented employees.
During the COVID-19 lockdown in Armenia, 58% of Syrian workers were furloughed or laid off from their jobs.
This video summarizes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation of more than 10,000 Syrian refugees in Armenia.
