On May 25, the Armenian Red Cross Society organized an informative meeting on “Labor Law”, “Regulation of Labor Relations in Armenia” and “Intellectual property protection in Armenia” for people displaced from Syria at Aleppo CCO’s center in the frames of “Improvement of refugee acceptance in Armenia and fostering of integration of persons of concern” program financed by the UNHCR.
The meeting was opened with welcoming speeches by Aleppo CCO representative Hayasa Tahmazyan and Armenian Red Cross Society representative Hasmik Khachatryan.
ARCS representatives Hasmik Khachatryan and Nare Harutyunyan introduced the Syrian Armenian participants of the informative meeting to the programs promoting refugees’ labor law and labor integration in Armenia. In his turn, Mickael Piliposyan, head of the Legal department of the Confederation of the Trade Unions of Armenia, introduced the regulation of the labor relations in Armenia and shared knowledge on labor rights protection. Another speaker, expert Marine Fidanyan introduced the protection of intellectual property in Armenia.
Syrian Armenian participants of the informative meeting had the opportunity to address their questions to the speakers and receive relevant information on issues of interest.
