Meetings, within the “Social-psychological Assistance to Syrian Refugees” Project, are Launched at Aleppo-NGO

On 1 January, 2019, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (Aleppo-NGO) launched the meetings to provide social-psychological support to Syrian refugees sheltered in Armenia.

The guest speaker of the meeting is well-known to us – spiritual pastor, Fr. Pargev Priest Palgevorgyan of Saint Hakob Church from Araratian Pontifical Diocesein in Mrgavan village. As usual, he launched the meeting with a prayer. Fr.  Pargev spoke about wealth, as well as people who unfairly accumulate wealth, and that a poor person who is not satisfied with his condition.

We should not allow the money to rule us, we should have the will to not lead a life of dissipation.

Usually, wealth does not make a person wiser, more restrained, kind and humane, and it does not put other virtue into soul.

In the end, the participants came up with questions and got answers

As a reminder, the free socio-psychological assistance meetings at Aleppo-NGO provide support to Syrians who went through the war and find themselves experiencing psychological side effects, helping them to recover and become actively involved in the civil life of Armenia.

At the meetings, the priest (APD) and various speakers give lectures.
The meetings take place every Friday, at 16:00, at the Aleppo-NGO office.
The address is 11 Northern Avenue, -1 floor (entrance from Abovyan street).
