Program Manager

The Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (ACCO)-NGO was established in October 2013, to support Syrians in both Armenia and Syria. Recognizing the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation resultant from the Syrian Crisis, the ACCO was created to provide humanitarian relief assistance and durable solutions to Syrian refugees and IDPs.

At the ACCO, you would be reporting back to the Executive Director, Ani Balkhian and plan and coordinate various projects and initiatives with the Advocacy and Foreign Affairs director.

8 hours per day

5 days a week.


The purpose of the program manager position is to promote and expand the brand and mission of the organization by consolidating already existing partnerships with local, regional and international organizations and to pursue avenues for the establishment of new partnerships with organizations that engage in humanitarian efforts.

The focus of the position is to identify potential donors, procure grants from international organizations such as, USAID, UNHCR, UNICEF, etc, oversee the implementation of the organization’s programs and represent the organization during conferences and meetings with international and local stakeholders.


1. Plan and Implement the Fundraising Strategy of the Organization (30%)

a. Draft proposals for grant applications from International humanitarian and development organizations such as, USAID, UNHCR, UNICEF, etc.

b. Manage the execution of online fundraising strategies, i.e. crowd funding.

c. Identify potential donors from local businesses in Armenia, Diaspora organizations, Diaspora donors, etc.

d. Manage the donor lists, thank you letters, etc.

2. Publications (20%)

a. Draft and revise the organization’s press releases, announcements and letters written in English and sometimes in Armenian.

b. Coordinate with the Advocacy and Foreign Affairs director in drafting the Annual Reports of the Organization.

c. Generate materials or translate materials for the organization’s social media sites.

3. Representation (20%)

a. Attend conferences and meetings on behalf of the organization.

b. Accompany the Executive Director at high-level meetings with government officials and International Organizations.

c. Translate or interpret for the Executive Director if need be. (English and Russian)

4. Manage and coordinate ACCO’s projects (30%)

a. Coordinate with the Advocacy and Foreign Affairs director, for the development of projects aimed at supporting the survival and integration of Syrians in Armenia.

b. Manage the operations of different projects to ensure their success.

c. Organize and Coordinate the volunteers who will assist in the implementation of the projects.
