Social marketing introductory training for Syrian and local youth at Aleppo CCO

On July 30, 2016, a free training for Syrian and local youth on “Social marketing and fundraising” took place at Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization. The training was organized within the framework of the “Syrian youth for a better future in Armenia” project funded by the Embassy of the United States in Armenia.

During the open class, the speaker – founder of the “Akademix Team” Business Consulting and Training Company Lilit Tshughuryan – provided youth participants with thorough knowledge on the essence of social marketing. Ms. Tshughuryan talked about the need of implementation of social marketing, presented a historical overview of the development of its theory, as well as introduced the goals and objectives of social marketing and its implementation in different sectors. Detailed information on forms of social marketing, such as sponsorship, fundraising, corporate social responsibility, was presented, too.

The interactive training provided an opportunity for youth participants who are involved in the public sector to acquire valuable knowledge and skills on developing, implementing and evaluating social marketing oriented programs. At the end of the training, the participants had the opportunity to address their question to Lilit Tshughuryan and receive appropriate answers.
