The ACCO Sends $10,000 to Syria

Yerevan, Armenia – The Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Non-Governmental Organization (ACCO), which was officially registered as a non-governmental organization on October 28th 2013, commenced its establishment by sending ten-thousand dollars ($10,000) to Syria.

The ACCO’s board of directors allocated $10,000 to the Aleppo-Armenian Emergency Relief Body, to assist them in delivering emergency relief supplies to the most vulnerable families and individuals in Aleppo.

“We recognize the difficult circumstances facing all the humanitarian relief organizations operating in Syria, and appreciate the incredible efforts of the Aleppo-Armenian Emergency Relief Body in providing essential support to Syrians in Aleppo” said Ani Balkhian, President and Executive Director of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (NGO). “We decided to allocate the $10,000 to the Aleppo-Armenian Emergency Relief Body to better equip them in their preparations for the upcoming winter in Aleppo”.

The Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization (NGO), which is based in Yerevan-Armenian, provides short-term relief assistance and durable solutions to the most vulnerable Syrian families and individuals devastated by the ongoing crisis in Syria. The organization will initially support Syrians still residing in the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as, Syrians who have found refuge in the Republic of Armenia.
