The workshop on “The Concept of the State Youth Policy in RA” took place on 13 August 2016, at the center of ALEPPO Compatriotic Charitable Organization.
The workshop was organized within the framework of the “Syrian Youth for better future in Armenia” youth participation educational project funded by the US Embassy to Armenia and implemented by the ALEPPO CCO. The major goal of the project is to strengthen capacities and knowledge of Syrian youngsters residing in Armenia to build up better future in Armenia.
The leading specialist, field coordinator of Youth Studies Institute, Hermine Karapetyan conducted the workshop. The key topics covered during the workshop, promoted better and broader understating of participant on the current state of the State Youth Policy, its main priorities, strategic goals, and other background documents. The speaker also outlined the subjects of state youth policy in detail.
As an integral part of the Massive open online course (MOOC on human rights and democratic development), the workshop was very productive as far as it transferred information and knowledge to more than 45 Syrian young people solely based on their information awareness needs. Workshop attendees also had the opportunity to ask their questions of concern and to get detail information.
